Alexandra’s Story

Born in sunny Greece, Alexandra was knee-deep in art before most kids could tie their shoelaces.

In 1972 her family migrated to Melbourne Australia

She had a soft spot for calligraphy, a flair for painting, and by Year 9 (that’s Year 3 of high school), she’d caught the photography bug too.

Fast forward to 1985, she nabbed a Graphic Design degree from Swinburne University!

The following year she joined a photography studio called “The Church” (not the place for hymns, but plenty of darkroom wizardry). There she mastered the fine art of black-and-white printing – proper exhibition-level stuff – and even printed her own masterpieces.

By 1987, she was flying solo as a graphic designer, mostly whipping up logos that probably still look slick today.

Then in 1989, she landed what might be the most Aussie-sounding gig ever – designing banknotes for Note Printing Australia. That’s right, she helped make our money look mint!

Her art’s made the rounds too:

  • 1999: Group show at Sui Generis Gallery, Melbourne
  • 2000 & 2001: Solo shows at Festival Antipodes – big Greek vibes in Melbourne
  • 2004: Group show in Kalavryta Town Hall
  • 2006: Solo show in Athens (yeah, that Athens)
  • 2006–2009: Opened her own gallery in Kalavryta – talk about a dream gig!

Since 2011, she’s been diving into the digital side of art, blending tech with talent to create some seriously eye-catching stuff. Always experimenting, always pushing the envelope
